In an effort to develop a network of Coaches and Clubs throughout New Brunswick, TriNB are offering this course at a highly discounted rate of $50.00* (normal price $175.00). An extra subsidy may be available upon successful completion of the course. This will be based on a first come first served basis. We have a maximum of 16 places available.
*this offer is available to residents of New Brunswick only. The regular $175.00 fee applies everyone living outside of N.B.
This course is tailored for adult triathletes and coaches of age group athletes! The Community course is designed for someone who wants to do club coaching (this would do for coaching 90% of age group athletes especially those who are just beginning in the sport and need some organization and direction).
A two day workshop encompassing sprint to long distance training. The course includes three primary areas, a) safety, ethics, and liability, b) technical introduction to all four sports, and c) program planning. This workshop provides an excellent springboard for both athletes and coaches to gain information discuss principles of triathlon training for adults, and network with other participants in the sport. The information is presented in an organized, visual manual with applied exercises that provide opportunities for both learning and applying concepts of training.
The gentleman conducting the course is Greg Peters. In addition to being a certified learning facilitator with the NCCP and Triathlon Canada, he is also an International Technical Official with ITU, and a Doping Control Officer with the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport. He has been a coach of high school athletes for 15 years and has worked with more than 30 triathlon coaches in the NCCP programme. He has a very broad and diverse background in sport.
